今日はPoppoと一緒に、東公園脇にある倉橋友行建築設計室にお邪魔してきた。
中に入ると倉橋さん自作のウッドデッキとテーブルが眼に入る。
建物やインテリアに限らず、車でもおもちゃでも、はたまた農作物なんかも、技術の発達や仕事の分業化が進んだおかげで、僕らは身の回りのものの成り立ちから遠ざかってしまっている。
自分の部屋、家、庭、あるいは公園や街路樹といった公共の場所でも、「この場所がこんな風になったら･･･」とか、空間のことに思いを巡らすのは楽しい。
自分たちでプランを考えて自分たちでつくるのは、もっと楽しいし、やりがいと愛着が膨らむ作業だ。
それは建築家や大工さんだけの特権ではない。
倉橋さんからはいつも「空間をつくる」ということへの柔軟な発想とこだわりを学べる。
気がつくと、ふらっと挨拶だけするつもりが、栄離宮2F庭のウッドデッキ+家庭菜園づくりの話に花が咲き、倉橋さんがノートを開いてささっとエスキースを描いてくれた。
東公園の南駐車場入り口脇にある、かわいらしい白い建物が事務所。
近くにいった際にはぜひ立ち寄ることをおすすめします。
今日はおいしいコーヒーとお菓子をご馳走になりました。
